John Michael Teters Blog

So glad that you are here! Check out my latest blog.

Hey everyone!

I pray that this update finds everyone well.

UPDATE

Mayfield Kentucky –

One week ago, the DOGS (Disciples of God) journeyed to Mayfield Kentucky to volunteer with Samaritans purse. We had the opportunity to help build brand new houses for some of the people who lost everything in a tornado that ravaged the town about two years ago. It was inspiring to be around and talk to some of the permanent construction workers who had been there already for one and a half years patiently serving the Lord. I highly recommend volunteering with Samaritans Purse. They are very organized, Christ centered, and they feed you incredibly well.

Debrief –

After getting back from Kentucky, we had about a week of recapping what has happened over the past month in a half while in Georgia. During this time, we had quite a few one on ones with some of the leaders and coaches. As always, some fire worship sessions took place. It has been so cool growing with the squad.

Church with grandparents –

Shoutout Liberty Bible church! This past Sunday our team and a girls’ team were able to attend church in the community.

What better church to attend then the one my grandpa is paster over. Spontaneously some of my teammates were able to share some of their testimonies with the congregation. It was truly a blessing and such a special time.

Looking Forward

We are finally flying out to GUATEMALA on Wednesday! We were originally supposed to leave on Saturday the 14th but due to protest and roadblocks our flights got rescheduled for October 18th. Me and my team are super excited and ready to leave the country. Prayer for Guatemala would be greatly appreciated as there is still quite a bit of tension there and things could get violent.

The time is finally here! After a life changing experience this past month and a half in Georgia, it is such a blessing that our squad will have the opportunity to serve others in communities around the world. It is our teams goal this year to represent Jesus to everyone we encounter.

1st Timothy 2:3-6

“This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people.”

Gratitude

As always, I am incredibly grateful to those who have and continue to donate.

I am also grateful for constant prayer for the hearts of those we are reaching and for safety throughout the trip. Love Ya’ll and hope all is well.

God Bless!

  1. John Michael,
It was great to see you and your team at church on Sunday. Godspeed to y’all as you head out to Guatemala to share the saving redemptive grace of the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I praise the mercy shown us to give us a way back to our Father and I praise His servants who will tell the story. Prayers for a soul harvest!

  4. LOVE YOU!

Prayed for you, just a minute ago, and we’re praying constantly for you and the “W” Squad. Philippians 4:13, works in every circumstance, relationship and situation expressed in vss. 11-12; not just for gaining the mountain top!
